| 2. | Packaging and contents In order to fill in this section you need to know how much your shipment will weigh and how it will be packed. To calculate this, use the charts below. Packaging Type: You will select "Single item or handling unit". All BooksJustBooks titles are packed in cartons (boxes). There are approximately 48 cartons per pallet. Our pallets are not stackable. So, depending on your quantity, your books will either be in "Boxes" or "Non-Stackable pallets" under this "Single item or handling unit" heading. (For example, 2000 copies of a 256 page book, 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" printed on 50# offset and perfect bound requires 37 cartons, or 1 pallet.) So the "Quantity" is either 1 and it contains 48 "pieces per handling unit", or the "Quantity" is 37 and you can leave the "pieces per handling unity" blank. Weight: To determine the total weight, multiply the total quantity by the weight per 1000 copies. (For example, 2000 copies of a 256 page book- 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" on 50# offset and perfect bound weighs 660 pounds per 1000 copies or a total of 1320 pounds.) "NMFC Class" is 60 "Dimensions" are only required if you selected "Boxes", and the dimensions are Length- 17, Width- 11 and Height 7. These are inches. |
